This is our lovely Christmas tree. This is the FOURTH time it has fallen down. Fresh cut trees are hard to balance and a crooked stump can be blamed for the first 2 times it crashed to the floor. Three year olds can also be hard to balance and can be blamed for the 3rd AND 4th time it crashed to the floor. Now that I have decorated it 5 times I am ready to take it down. This last time Sydney suggested that we only put the lights and star back and put everything else away. Of course ornaments are broken, lights are just thrown up and only 3/4 of the even light anymore. As for Owen, will he get anything for Christmas? We'll leave it up to the big man in red to decide.

I am impressed with your determination to keep your tree up. I would not be as determined. Owen cracks me up, though. I will never forget the time we came over for dinner. I can still see him sitting on the table with a spoon going to town on that banana cream dessert you'd made. Hilarious!! Anyway, I love all your posts. Reese is adorable, and I can't believe how big everyone else is getting. I am so jealous that you had to cut Ella's hair. Hannahs is finally just getting kind of long, but only in the back so she has a ridiculous mullet/rat tail going on.
Wow! That's insane! My uncle (the one just younger than my mom) pulled the tree down once---it fell on top of him, and that stopped him from pulling it down again.
One year we tied the tree up. It meant a few nails in the ceiling and walls--but it was better than picking the thing up and redecorating!
By the way, congratulations on your new little girl! I can't believe you two have five!!!

My suggestion-a Costo fake tree and a "tree" scented candle next year!! Love all your post. Your hair is SO long! Your baby is adorable and I LOVE Ella's haircut. It reminds me of Maycee's hair when she was little, love it!
So fun to get updated on your family! The laundry thing is killer... and I only have 3! It really is neverending. The Christmas card making story is funny too! :) Your kiddos are adorable, and you guys are so good to be out and about through the holidays. Reese is a doll! Congrats again!
